Faith and Josh's love story blossomed from a co-worker crush into a lifetime commitment, filled with spunk, genuine connection, and a whole lot of fun. Their wedding, set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Anna, Virginia, perfectly captured the essence of their wedding day — lakey, laid-back, and undeniably luxurious.
Faith and Josh wanted a location that held sentimental value, and what better place than Josh's family's lake home? Having spent countless weekends and celebrations there with loved ones, the lakeside setting was the perfect backdrop for them to tie the knot.
The warm September afternoon transitioned seamlessly into a crisp evening, with not a cloud in the sky. The atmosphere exuded a relaxed yet chic vibe, complemented by thoughtful details and a carefully curated aesthetic. The entire celebration felt like a breath of fresh air, with everyone fully present in the moment, embracing the joy without any unnecessary formality.
The color palette echoed the vibrancy of the couple's personalities—fun, colorful, and filled with bright pops. Warm floral tones in pinks, oranges, yellows, and corals contrasted beautifully with the cooler hues of rich blues, light blues, and greens. The bridesmaids donned mix-matched floral dresses, while the flower girls wore vintage white cotton, eyelet gowns, tying the ensemble together with white ribbons in their hair.
From a charcuterie board and homemade wedding cake made by friends to a repurposed green canoe used as a cooler, every detail spoke volumes about Faith and Josh's unique style. The couple's exit on a boat, accompanied by an epic firework show, marked the perfect end to a day filled with memorable moments.
Connecting through a mutual friend, Faith and Josh chose to work with Atlas & Ember because our design vision aligned seamlessly with their vision of laid-back luxury. Plus, they wanted a professional to the area who would handle all planning logistics and vendor management. As their wedding planner, I had the pleasure of helping them coordinate and select rentals and recommend the best options for vendors who aligned with their vision. We designed the tablescape, from the floral plates to the napkin fold, ensuring every element reflected their style.

Party Perfect Event Rentals and Wedding Lighting Co. helped us transform the backyard into a beautiful, cozy backdrop. It is always a difficult logistical challenge for transforming a backyard into a wedding venue, and it wouldn’t have been possible without these vendors!
Missing BBQ Fredericksburg cooked us up some amazing food and helped ensure the guests were taken care of throughout the evening. The BBQ comfort food was the perfect selection to contrast the luxurious details and everyone loved it!
