I specialize in intimate, micro-weddings that appreciate gorgeous details and authentic moments. I am all about connecting to your unique love story and highlighting your culture, hobbies, and passions to craft a customized wedding experience.

I want to be your friend and advocate through your wedding planning process. Text me details, show me pictures, and share joys and frustrations. From picking colors to busting a move on the dance floor with you, I want to be there every step of the way!

I’m based in Charlottesville, VA with my husband Isaac and our labradoodle, Dunkin (named after my obsession for Dunkin Donuts.)

I decided to chase my dreams and passion of becoming a wedding planner and stylist starting in 2016. My first steps included becoming a Certified Wedding Planner through the nation’s leading wedding planning certification course - The Certified Wedding Planner Society. Through this community, I have access to national wedding leaders and a strong community, as well as professional development opportunities and vendor networking collaborations.

I’ve also just finished up working on my first book (which I still can’t even believe I get to write that sentence!) It’s about ALL things weddings, highlighting the changes of the wedding industry and giving brides and wedding vendors tips and advice on how to embrace the new trends. Introducing Juniper Lane - the sister brand to Atlas & Ember.

In late 2022, I had a desire to continue growing in the bridal space by incorporating my background in retail with my love for bridal. In February of 2023, I opened Juniper Lane - a Vintage Boutique that specializes in vintage and bespoke wedding dresses. With nearly 100 different styles from all eras, you’re sure to find a one-of-a-kind dress for your wedding day.

NAME.

 

Atlas & Ember was a dream sparked in a university dorm room and executed through years of seminars, education opportunities, and in countless wedding venues across the state of Virginia - turning into the brand you see today.

The name “Atlas & Ember” was intentionally created:

  • The word “atlas” typically refers to a collection of maps which are used as a guide or resource by those who are traveling and need guidance. The hope is that Atlas & Ember can be your guide and provide you with resources as you navigate this season of your life.

  • An “ember” is a glowing spark, usually right before a fire lights. The ultimate goal is to use this planning time to highlight and celebrate all the “sparks of love” that make up your unique love story.
